GBC Theater Costuming
I have costumed 4 productions with Great Basin College's Theater program in Elko Nevada. Ranging in size from 18 to 44 person casts, I have done everything from conceptualization and design to construction and repurposing what was already in storage. I worked with the theater director John Rice and was an ensemble actor in addition to costuming in all 4. For more details, check out my pages for Les Miserables, A Christmas Carol, Camelot, and MacBeth here.
Medieval and Renaissance
I have been doing medieval and renaissance costuming since 2011, primarily with Live Action Role Play and historical reenactment hobbyist groups such as Amtgard and the Society for Creative Anachronism. I have made historically accurate clothing sets from a range of eras, as well as a few more specific recreation or costume pieces. Mid-19th Century Clothing
I started making Civil War/Pioneer era clothing when I was 14, and the 1860s remain one of my particular passions. Through making mid-19th century reproduction clothing I learned a lot about pattern draping and drafting, as well as a plethora of stitching and tailoring skills.
